VELA Music Festival
VELA is an imagined music festival celebrating sapphic people of color through an exclusively sapphic lineup of music artists of color. Inspired by the Spanish word vela, meaning “candle,” the festival name symbolizes both joy and remembrance, honoring the celebration of Pride month while acknowledging its history rooted in protest and loss.
The visual system spans physical and digital touch points, including a festival poster, billboard campaign, social media motion graphics, stage bumper videos, branded merchandise, festival wristbands, as well as interactive web and mobile Figma prototypes.
